Olé Worm, also known as Olaus Wormius, was a Danish physician and antiquary. Worm might be considered a perpetual student - he attended the University of Marburg in 1605, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Basel in 1611, and received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1617. In Copenhagen, he taught Latin, Greek, physics, and medicine. He was personal physician to King Christian IV of Denmark, and when Copenhagen was suffering from the Black Death, Worm made the unusual decision to stay in the city to care for the sick. (The fear of Black Death often caused mass exodus of cities, including physicians.)
The Lloyd holds a 1655 edition of Worm's catalog of his museum of natural history specimens, woodcuts from which are on display here.
